Why we don't quote a single price upfront
A custom wall bed quote depends on six things we cannot guess from a WhatsApp message: flat dimensions, lift access, wall structure (concrete vs partition), finish choice, optional add-ons, and whether your building management requires hoist-up. We measure first, quote second. This is why our quote takes 24 hours, not 5 minutes.
If a competitor sends you a price without measuring your flat, they're either guessing (and will charge extras later) or selling a generic unit that doesn't fit. See /how-to-spot-a-fake-quote.html, red flag #1.
What's never bundled silently
Six things that should always be a separate line item on any HK wall bed quote — ours or anyone's.
- Installation labour (HKD 4,000–12,000 depending on access)
- Lift booking + delivery surcharge (HKD 800–2,500 if applicable)
- Structural-wall verification (free for all our installs)
- Building management approval (we handle the paperwork)
- Disposal of old furniture (HKD 500–1,500 if needed)
- Mattress (customer-supplied or at-cost — we don't mark up)
Four jobs we'll refuse to quote
If your situation is one of these, we'll tell you up-front rather than charge a deposit and renege.
- Non-structural wall. SBLM transfers ~750 kg dynamic load. Drywall, brick veneer, partition walls, and some thin-shell post-1990s estate walls do not qualify. Detail at /jobs-we-refused.html.
- Illegally subdivided unit (劏房) without engineer sign-off. Safety-of-life refusal.
- Concealed wiring in the anchor zone if the customer won't budget licensed electrician re-routing.
- Customer wants 100% post-handback refund right. We can't un-build a custom install. Cooling-off is 7 days pre-production.
