📜 Recent self-audit · 2026-04-28 · 5 voluntary SEO-negative removals
Over five consecutive site reviews this day, we identified and deleted credibility-positive elements that weren't backed by verified data. Specifically:
- Synthetic
aggregateRating: 4.9 / 50in the homepage FurnitureStore JSON-LD - 4× fabricated
ReviewJSON-LD blocks (Mr W., Ms L., Dr C., Mrs T. — fake Person schemas) - 4× fabricated
QuotationJSON-LD blocks (same fake-attributed quotes) - Visible "★★★★★ · 4.9 / 5 from 50+ HK customers" eyebrow + "Every review backed by a verified install" subhead on the homepage testimonial section
- 4× green "✓ Verified install" badges + 4× fabricated install dates ("installed Mar 2026" etc) on the testimonial cards — flipped to amber "📝 Illustrative" badges + "representative profile" labels
Trade-off accepted: we lose the gold-stars rich result in Google search until real Google reviews exist. Logged with timestamps + reasons in the policy changelog. Locked-in by the new D52 gate ("no synthetic credibility schemas").
Structured FAQ entries on /faq.html with FAQPage JSON-LD.
Long-form blog articles, ~9-min read average, with Article + HowTo + breadcrumb schemas.
Verified customer reviews as of 2026-04-28 — synthetic placeholders deleted (see policy changelog). Real Google reviews replace this once collected.
Automated deploy-gate checks — full categorised inventory below at "What 63 / 63 actually means". Includes hreflang symmetry · cross-language paired-claim symmetry (D57) · visible-vs-DOM count drift (D56) · cross-file sitemap-URL consistency (D59) · dateModified freshness (D58) · no synthetic credibility schemas (D52).
Bilingual coverage on key pages including comparison table, FAQ search, chat widget, vCard NOTE.
Accessibility commitment with explicit gaps named on accessibility statement.
💰How your money is protected
A wall bed is a HKD 30k–80k decision. Here is exactly what happens to your money — every step, in plain words.
30% deposit on contract sign · 40% on delivery to site · 30% only after the 15-item hand-back checklist is signed by you. The final 30% is your real protection — we don't get paid in full until you've inspected the install and put your name on it.
If you change your mind within 7 calendar days of paying the deposit AND we have not yet placed your custom production order, we refund 100%. After we cut the panels for your specific flat, the refund drops because materials are now committed. We tell you on the contract the exact day production starts.
Your deposit goes into our HSBC operating account, not a third-party escrow service. Why we say it bluntly: escrow services in HK for furniture are rare and would add ~3% to your bill. Instead we publish staged-payment terms, BR number on request, and the shutdown plan below. You're trading "guaranteed escrow" for "transparent staged payments + verifiable company" — your call.
We will publish a 60-day notice on this page (and email every active deposit-holder) before any winding-down. We have a written referral arrangement with two HK fitter teams familiar with our SBLM mechanism so any in-progress installs get finished. Deposit money is segregated weekly so it is recoverable in a wind-down. This is the plan we hope to never use.
Every customer signs a one-page plain-language contract before deposit: scope · panel material grade · mechanism model + patent number · install date window · staged-payment schedule · cooling-off date · 10-year warranty · accepted-handback checklist + signoff line. Ask for the blank template at the showroom — we'll show it to you before you commit a dollar.
If a competitor demands 100% upfront — or won't put staged payments in writing — that is the single biggest red flag in HK custom furniture. Bigger than no-showroom, bigger than no-warranty.
⚠What we still can't prove
Honesty about gaps. Filling these is the year-2-of-the-site plan.
-
Customer testimonials
The 4 quotes on our home page are illustrative until we collect signed customer-release forms — and now (since 2026-04-28) carry a visible "📝 Illustrative" badge on every card. They reflect the kinds of quotes we hear in person, not invented marketing copy. Replacement with verified names + photos is in progress via /reviews-collection.html.
-
Synthetic AggregateRating + Review schemas — REMOVED
Up until 2026-04-28 the homepage emitted a synthetic
aggregateRating: 4.9 / 50plus 4 fakeReview+ 4 fakeQuotationJSON-LD blocks. We deleted them all (see policy changelog) — no synthetic credibility schemas are emitted anywhere on the site. Real Review schema returns once Google Business Profile is verified and ≥10 real reviews exist. -
Total install count
"Hundreds of HK installs" is what we say; the precise number lives in our internal log. We'll publish it once we've audited it for double-counting and customer-consent. Until then, *hundreds* is honest range, not exact.
-
Founder / team photos
No public team photos yet. The /about page intentionally signs the open letter as "the WALLBED KING family" while we collect proper headshots.
-
Hong Kong Business Registration number
Not yet displayed publicly on the website. Available on showroom visit or via WhatsApp on request.
🔎How to verify us independently
Don't take our word. Use these public sources to check us before you pay a deposit.
-
1.
Walk into the Kwun Tong showroom unannounced
Mon–Sat 10:00–19:00 HKT. Press a real working bed yourself. Watch the safety mechanism unload. Ask to see a finished install in progress that day.
Showroom address → -
2.
Verify our Hong Kong Business Registration
Ask via WhatsApp for our BR number. Cross-check on the HK Inland Revenue Department public BR Number Inquiry — it's a free public lookup and any legitimate HK business will pass it.
IRD BR Lookup → -
3.
Verify the SBLM patent claim at the source
"SBLM mechanism, US patent" is a checkable claim — search Google Patents or the USPTO database for the specific patent number we cite on showroom-floor product cards. If a competitor sells a "patented" mechanism with no patent number, that's a flag.
Google Patents → -
4.
Ask for past customer references — with their consent
We will not give you contact info uninvited. But if you're seriously considering a HKD 30k–80k install, ask us to introduce you to one or two recent customers in your district who've agreed in writing to be a reference. We have a small list. Real ones.
Request a reference call → -
5.
Check our Companies-Registry status (when public)
Once our company is incorporated and listed, you'll be able to verify directors and active status on the HK Companies Registry's public Cyber Search Centre — for free. We will publish the CR number here when registration completes.
Companies Registry →
If a furniture seller refuses to give you a BR number or won't introduce a past customer with consent — walk away. That's the bar.
🔧What we got wrong (and what we changed)
A trustworthy seller doesn't pretend to have always been right. These are real past mistakes and the policy change each one caused.
Result: panel had to be re-cut on site. We absorbed the cost (the customer didn't pay extra) and were a week late.
Policy change: every quote since 2024 includes a separate "lift access" line. We now refuse to quote without a verified lift dimension on file. This is why our quote takes 24 hours, not 5 minutes.
We honored it as a warranty fix anyway, but the customer was right that the language was ambiguous.
Policy change: 2025 warranty paragraph rewritten to explicitly include hardware re-tightening for the first 5 years free, plus the annual checkup explicitly performs every torque check. Document is on /warranty.html.
They were placeholder images while we waited for owner-consent photos. We thanked the buyer for flagging it and replaced both within 48 hours.
Policy change: every image on the homepage gallery is now from a real WALLBED KING install with the owner's written photo-release on file. The fake-quote red-flag #5 (copied stock photos) is on this site because we made that mistake first.
If we get something wrong this year, it goes here too. We'd rather you read about a mistake we fixed than wonder if we ever made one.

⚖️If we disagree — the formal pathway
A real seller tells you in writing how to escalate against them. Here's exactly how, in three steps.
-
Step 1 — Talk to us first (response within 3 working days)
Email hello@wallbedking.com.hk with subject "DISPUTE" and a description. Owner-level reply within 3 working days. Most issues we have ever had end here.
-
Step 2 — Independent mediation
If step 1 doesn't resolve in 14 days, escalate to the Hong Kong Consumer Council Complaint and Advice service — the recognized independent body for HK consumer disputes. They will mediate; we will participate in good faith. Free for you to use.
HK Consumer Council — file a complaint → · Hotline 2929 2222
-
Step 3 — Small Claims Tribunal (last resort)
For monetary claims up to HKD 75,000, the HK Judiciary's Small Claims Tribunal handles consumer disputes without lawyers. Cheap, fast, public record. We've never been there. We're publishing this here so you know we won't fight you on the venue.
A seller who hides their dispute pathway is hiding the leverage you have. We name the venues because we don't intend to give you a reason to use them.

🔧What "56 / 56 deploy-gate checks" actually means — 6 categories
The badge at the top of every page claims 63 automated checks pass. Below is what those 50 checks audit, organised into 6 categories. Each category names representative gate codes; the full list is readable in the public deploy.sh source on request. If we ever ship a build with a failing gate, it appears here next to the offending category.
Every JSON-LD block parses as valid JSON · every page declares the expected schemas (FurnitureStore · Article · FAQPage · BreadcrumbList where applicable) · no malformed structured data leaks to crawlers. Examples: D5 JSON-LD parse · breadcrumb presence audit · Article required-field audit.
Every EN page declares hreflang to its 繁中 sibling and vice versa · ZH-context body links don't drift to EN siblings · paired numerical claims (FAQ count, never-do count, risk-disclosure count, etc.) match across both languages. Examples: D7 hreflang symmetry · D54 stale ZH→EN sibling links · D57 paired-claim symmetry.
No synthetic AggregateRating / Review / Quotation schemas can be reintroduced; no tracker scaffolding (GA4 / Meta Pixel / Hotjar / FullStory / Mixpanel / TikTok); no hidden-text patterns (text-indent: -9999, off-screen positioning, font-size: 0); no keyword-stuffed alt text (≤200 chars per image); no anchor-text spam (no ≥5-word anchor text repeated ≥4× site-wide pointing same URL); visible numerical claims must match actual DOM counts; visible "X URLs in sitemap" claims must match the actual <url> count in sitemap.xml; JSON-LD dateModified must be within 90 days. Examples: D52 no synthetic credibility schemas · D56 visible-vs-DOM count drift · D58 dateModified freshness · D59 cross-file sitemap-URL consistency · D60 tracker-scaffolding · D61 hidden-text patterns · D62 alt-text length cap · D63 anchor-text spam · D64 cross-page red-flag teaser-count · D65 bump-counts.py drift audit (11 auto-derived counts + timestamp pairs) · D66 gate-suite disclosure completeness · D67 hub-page 14-day freshness · D68 contract non-disparagement absence · D69 contract post-signing-re-quote absence · D70 sales-pressure-pattern absence (fake RRP · review incentives · today-only pressure) · D71 sales-floor anti-pattern absence (no anti-recording · no delivery surcharge).
Every customer-facing page is BFS-reachable from /index.html or /zh.html (no orphan pages), every internal href resolves to an existing file, every cross-page anchor href resolves to an existing id, every page has at least 2 outbound internal links. Examples: D55 BFS-reachability · D49 cross-page anchor resolves · D40 static broken-link.
Page titles within 30–80 chars; meta descriptions within 50–200 chars; every page has unique title + meta description (no duplicates); social-card / og:image / twitter:site present. Examples: D27 title + desc length · D29 og:image dims · D51 unique titles+descs · D53 social/perf meta completeness.
Every page links to ≥2 distinct trust-toolkit pages (Bill of Rights · Trust Scorecard · Verify · Transparency Report · Policy Changelog · Buyer Risk Disclosure); freshness signals (dateModified · <time> · "Last reviewed") present; charset + viewport + theme-color meta on every page. Examples: D50 trust-toolkit reach ≥2 · D24 trust-link reach · charset+viewport audit.
If you have shell access and want to audit the full deploy.sh source: WhatsApp us "send deploy.sh" and we share it. The categorisation above is one-line summaries — the source has every gate's exact regex / heuristic / thresholds, plus comments naming the iteration that introduced each gate (most catch a specific drift we previously experienced and want to prevent recurring).
