Step 1 — Get your direct "write a review" link
Once your Google Business Profile is verified for the Kwun Tong showroom, Google gives you a single direct-to-write-review URL. Format:
https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=YOUR_PLACE_ID
To get your PLACE_ID:
- Go to Google's Place ID Finder
- Search "WALLBED KING Kwun Tong"
- Copy the place ID (long alphanumeric string)
- Paste it into the URL above — that's the link you send customers
If GBP isn't claimed yet, that's the prerequisite. Detail at homepage hero suggestions or earlier loop output.
Step 2 — Pick the right past customers
Not every past customer is a candidate. The shortlist:
- Install completed 3 months to 2 years ago (long enough to know quality, fresh enough to remember)
- You've spoken to them at least once after handback (annual checkup, follow-up question, referral) — proves they're still reachable
- The install didn't have major drama (no warranty escalation, no payment issues)
- You sense they were genuinely happy — not just polite
Realistic expectation: 1 in 3 will follow through. Send to 30 to get 10.
Step 3 — WhatsApp templates (copy-paste)

Replace [X], [NAME], [PASTE_REVIEW_URL] before sending. Don't bulk-send identical messages — make each feel personal.
Step 4 — Email template (for older customers)

Step 5 — Tracking (so we can audit it later)
Keep a simple spreadsheet (Google Sheets / Excel) with these columns:

For the 2027 transparency report, this spreadsheet generates the audited customer-reference and Google-review counts. Without tracking, we can't publish the number.
Step 6 — When the review goes live
- Reply within 48 hours: thank them by name, in the channel they used.
- If their review mentions specific details (their flat size, install month, finish), verify those details match your records. Real reviews from real customers will match.
- Once we have 10+ real Google reviews, switch the homepage AggregateRating schema from the placeholder 4.9/50 to live numbers (or just remove the placeholder and let Google's actual score do the work).
- Update /transparency-report.html "Customer-reference list size" row in the next quarterly review.
What NOT to do
- Don't offer a discount/gift in exchange for a review. Google's policy forbids it. Review trustworthiness collapses if discovered.
- Don't bulk-send identical messages — Customers can tell. Personalize at minimum the install month and finish.
- Don't ask the same customer twice. Once + a "no reply = no" rule.
- Don't write reviews from staff accounts. Schema-aggregated rating that's later found to be staff-generated is the trust catastrophe of the loop.
- Don't follow up if they asked you to stop. Bill of Rights #2.
Why this is the highest-leverage 30 minutes you can spend.
10 real reviews moves WALLBED KING from "this place is a website" to "this place exists in Google's local pack" overnight. Until that happens, every iteration of this site is reaching ~zero new customers.
